This session will present the USBI/ANSI standard and then work with attendees to plot a path for next steps including end-use standards and certifications.
The Biochar Effect:Advancing Soil Health for a Resilient Future. From theBiochar Atlas, to Northern Minnesota farms, to designing on-farm biochar demonstration trials — this session brings together farmers, leaders, and specialists to share lessons learned.
Biochar On Site. Hear from field innovators using mobile kilns and air-curtain and forestry-based systems to bring biochar production directly to the source.Discover how they’re turning residues into results.

Join us for an immersive experience as we visit local demonstration sites and projects that showcase the practical applications of biochar in various settings. These field trips offer a unique opportunity to see firsthand how biochar is being utilized to enhance soil health, improve agricultural productivity, and contribute to environmental sustainability. The excursions will conclude by early afternoon, allowing participants to engage with experts and gain valuable insights.
